I purchased the A119 mini 2 based on several online reviews, and I am very happy with my purchase. Still-frame picture quality is great, and license plates can be read at a distance of ~20-30ft in motion day or night. Also, the unit itself is pretty small which helps with concealment (about the size of a new bar of soap). I have a newer vehicle that is sensitive to a weak battery, so I tested the unit before installing. Below is the power consumption I measured using a 12.0v PSU and my multi-meter: Viofo a119 mini 2 (Screen ON + 2min loop recording) 0.30 amps = during power up (3.6 watts) 0.26 amps = idle (3.12 watts) 0.26 amps = saving file - gshock (3.12 watts) 0.31 amps = with 5.8ghz wifi on (3.72 watts) 0.24 amps = while downloading over wifi (2.88 watts) Viofo a119 mini 2 (Screen OFF + 2min loop recording) 0.24 amps = idle (2.88 watts) 0.25 amps = saving file -gshock (3.0 watts) 0.30 amps = with 5.8ghz wifi on (3.6 watts) 0.24 amps = while downloading over wifi (2.88 watts) I did have an issue with parking functionality, so I contacted support. They were able to get me an answer in less than 24 hours. Overall, a great dashcam with fast support if you are looking for a single sensor/forward facing camera.
