  • What SD Card is recommended for A129 Plus?
    When it comes to choosing a microSD memory card, we only recommend VIOFO cards or Sandisk Max Endurance cards. This is essential for maximum compatibility and long-term stability. For more details, please refer to this blog: What-memory-card-is-recommended-for-a-viofo-dashcam.
  • What is the maximum SD card it supports?
    A129 Plus supports microSD cards up to 256 GB. (Memory card format should be in FAT32 format.)
  • What are the differences among A129 series cameras?
    For more details, please refer to this blog: Viofo A129 Series Comparison Blog.
  • Why isn't my camera powering on?
    Please use the original charger or the hardwire kit as the power supply. If you use a third-party cable, it may not provide enough power.
  • How to update the firmware?
    ①Take out the SD card from the camera and insert it into a computer. (Please format the SD card to FAT32 first.)
    ②Download and copy the bin file to the root directory of the micro SD card: Viofo Firmware Page for A129 Plus.
    Note: The bin file can't be renamed, like FWA129SN.bin(1), it won't work with the camera. Please remove (1).
    ③Eject the card from the computer, put the card back in the camera, and power the camera with the original car charger, instead of using the data cable connecting to the PC.
    ④ The power LED will blink while upgrading. When it completes, the camera will restart automatically.
  • Why does my dashcam have a beep sound?
    If the camera continuously beeps, it means that the camera stops recording.
    Most of this issue is related to the SD card. Micro SD Cards play an important role in dashcams, but not all cards are suitable for use in dashcams. Using a non-recommended card may cause recording issues suddenly.
    We suggest you change your SD card to our recommended version to prevent any potential future issues. You may also deeply format your current card by this tool: GUI Format Tool.
    After multiple tests and feedback from various channels, we currently only recommend original VIOFO cards and Sandisk MAX Endurance cards.
  • How long is the rear cable? Are there longer ones?
    The standard rear cable is 6M. If you want a longer one, you can buy it through this link (Please make sure the rear cable for A129 Plus is different from A129 Pro/Duo): Viofo A129 Series Rear Cable.
  • If I buy A129 Plus, can I add a second channel later?
    Yes, you can buy this rear camera if needed: Viofo A129 Plus Rear Camera.

  • If I buy the single cam A129 Plus, can I hook up the rear camera that came with my A129 Pro Duo?

The product is excellent, I bought a new one after the previous one stopped working after 5 years, there are differences between the Duo and the + in the context of a rear camera.
