Micro SD Cards play an important role in dashcams, but not all cards are suitable to be used in dashcams. 

We recommend choosing a microSD card with high endurance and UHS-U1/U3 or above class, VIOFO original cards for example, there are some other types.

Refer to the below pic when choosing a card for the camera.

We suggest you format the card periodically to ensure the best performance of the camera.

The maximum card A129 PLUS supports is 256GB.

The biggest difference between these products is the video resolution and recording range. You can refer to the following blog for more details. 

VIOFO A129 Series Comparison

The standard rear cable length is 6M, and we have other lengths like 1/8/10M you can buy, we do not suggest extending the cable on your own.

Please note A129 Plus Rear Cable is unique and can not be used in A129 DUO/PRO dashcam.

① Replug the rear cable carefully. 

② Check if there are traces of damage around the port or pins.

If the rear cam is still gray in the live Video Source setup, you may need a new rear cable.

No, due to the hardware limit, it does not support buffer parking mode any longer.

The videos issue is most likely to do with the card, please format your card, you can buy a recommended card if issue persists.

You may refer to this pic for its parameter, it is a 3.5mm jack port.

As long as the hardwire kit works normally, camera shall not drain your car battery, it will stop recording through the parking recording duration you set or the cut-off proection swicth you set in hardwire kit.

While if you do encounter the issue, please recheck the fuse tap connection and choose the highest cut-off protection switch 12.4V/24.8V, or you can try to set parking duration to troubleshoot.

Most such issue is related to the memory card and connection, please format the card first and unplug the rear camera (if you have one).

You can try a new card we recommend if the issue persists.

Three ways to reset the camera.

① Choose the "Default setting" option in the menu.

② Keep pressing the "reset" hole on the main camera for a few seconds until camera restarts.

③ Choose the "Reset Camera Setting" in app menu.

Videos can be locked in 3 ways altogether.

Manual Locking: 

Press the triangle yellow button on the camera.

②Optional accessory-Bluetooth control: Press the Bluetooth button.

Automatical Locking: 

③When the G-sensor/Parking G-sensor is triggered, the camera shall lock videos and prevent them from being overwritten.

Yes, while there are many accessories you need to buy extraly.

Compatible: GPS mount, HK3,, CPL, Bluetooth.

Incompatible: Car Charger, Rear camera and cable.

Please be noted you can not upgrade the A129 to A129 PLUS by firmware update, and vice verse.

The default box comes with all the indispensable accessories you need, like the car charger and GPS module. 

Optional accessories include HK3 and fuse tap for parking mode, CPL to reduce reflections, Bluetooth Control for remote control, and VIOFO original cards.

The camera has 3 parking modes to choose from, Auto event detection, Time-lapse, and Low bitrate, each works differently, you can choose according to your need.

The transparent films are static stickers, which can be attached to your car windshield before installing the camera.

How to update firmware: 

Format the card to FAT32 first and then download the bin file to the card and power the camera with the card inserted, the bin file will get lost after update.

Note: Try FWA129S if FWA129SN does not work.

Tips: Please be gentle with the cable during the update; 

It is not recommended to update the rear camera if it works well.

Unzip the file, then copy them to the root directory of your card and power main body with rear camera plugged and card inserted, click VIDEO for a youtube video guide.
