How to update firmware: 

Format the card first to FAT32 and then download the bin file to the card and power the camera with the card inserted.

Use FWA129SN If camera menu "firmware version" is Build2.

The biggest difference between these products is the video resolution and recording range. You can refer to the following comparison blog for more details.

All the VIOFO rear cables cannot be extended manually. The standard rear cable length for the A129 Series dashcam is 6M. 

If not long enough, you could buy a longer 8M rear cable here. A129 Plus Rear Cable is unique and is not compatible with A129 DUO / PRO model, pay attention when you purchase a new one..

① Replug the rear cable carefully. 

② Check if there are traces of damage around the port or pins.

if the rear cam is still gray in the live Video Source setup, you may need a new rear cable.

You can reset the password to the default number 12345678 by updating the firmware.

① It is the ACC yellow cable that detects voltage change and switches the camera between parking mode and driving mode.

Please check hardwire kit connection first.

The ACC yellow cable should connect to an accessory port (No power when the car engine is switched off.)

The BAT red cable should be connected to a constant power port.

② Use the original car charger or short cable to enter parking mode: Normally the camera will enter the parking mode automatically if no motion is detected in about 5 minutes.

Firstly, please make sure the hardwire kit is connected correctly, please set the low voltage protection rate to 12.4V/24.8V. 

If the low voltage protection does not work, please check if the ACC cable was installed right or not. 

Then you can set parking mode duration as you need, such as 2 hours, 4 hours or 8 hours instead of all day.

Most of such issue is related to the memory card, please format the card first. If that doesn't work, you can also try to replace it with a new memory card.

Two ways to reset the camera, by camera menu or by the reset hole on the camera body. 

① Press the REC light to stop recording and then press the menu button to choose the "Default setting" option. 

② Use a toothpick or a paper clip to stick the "reset" hole on the left side of the main camera.

Emergency files will be triggered in 3 ways.

Manual Locking: 

Press the triangle yellow button on the camera.

②Bluetooth locking: Press the Bluetooth.

Automatical Locking: 

③When the G-sensor/Parking G-sensor is triggered, the camera shall lock videos and prevent them from being overwritten.

The hardware for A129 and A129 PLUS is different, so you can not upgrade A129 to A129 PLUS by a firmware update.
